Crib Quilts
In this section you will find several crib quit patterns, both Applique and Embroidery or Redwork. Most all are vintage from several different sources. Vintage kits, Redwork and even old newspapers. This section is based on crib quilts of all kinds. I have many images for children in the
Embroidery ~ Redwork section as well.

Some images may be marked as to prevent the rising rate of pattern theft. The markings will not effect the use of the pattern for personal use. It only prevents copying for resale.

LiL Macverick Quilt pattern $24.00

From a 1940’s quilt kit is an appliqué and embroidery pattern for a vintage youth quilt, “Lil Maverick”. This finishes at 68x92”. Originally put out by Ward’s, This has all the western themes a child would love. A cowboy roping a bull, a rearing horse, and cactus all around…. Memories of Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger.

This is not a quilt kit. It is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics.

You will receive:

  • Complete rewritten instructions and materials list ( the original was very brief). All pattern template sets for each solid color used in the quilt with a color chart for colors used in the original appliqué pieces, mostly done on large 11x17” sheet.
  • Diagrams for the layout of all the sections with measurements and easy to see enlargements. Also black and white photos originally with the kit.
  • Complete layout placement for the central western theme, the corner images and the smaller border cactus (quilting patterns included).

The photo of the finished quilt that came in the kit was not a full picture, however, the colors in this are mostly primary colors. You need only have a transfer pencil or water erasable pen to trace the patterns to your fabric..

Little Old Woman In a Shoe $28.00

From a 1930’s quilt kit is an appliqué baby quilt pattern for “The Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.” Mom shakes her stick as the children scamper away.  This quilt measures at 36"x53" finished. The pattern can be traced on the background fabric with a water erasable pen. All you will need to add are some great 30’s fabrics (reproductions work great as well) and your embroidery skills.

You will receive:

  •     Nine 11x17 sheets to assemble for quilt top, full size
  •      Complete directions for making the quilt
  •      Color photos if the original and inspired the pattern plus some of a finished quilt
  • 4.       Quilting patterns for the background, side border and corners

Little Cherubs Crib Quilt Pattern $28.00

From a 1930’s quilt kit is an appliqué quilt pattern for “Little Cherubs baby Quilt” that finishes at 38”x55”. The little cherubs are peeking around fluffy pink flowers in the center and on the corners. I designed a beautiful feather quilting pattern to surround the center. Both the vintage kits and finished quilts are quite costly. Now you can reproduce this quite easily. The pattern can be traced on the background fabric with a water erasable pen. All you will need to add are some great 30’s fabrics (repros would be fine) and your embroidery skills.

<!-  You will receive:

  •        Sixteen 11x17 sheets to assemble for the full size top (this was difficult to photograph, so a close up is also shown).
  •       Solid pastel colors used in the original are noted for each piece.
  •         Complete directions for making the quilt
  •        Color photos of the original that inspired the pattern
  •        Quilting and embroidery patterns for the entire quilt.

Ring Around The Rosie $20.00

From a 1930’s quilt kit is an appliqué baby quilt pattern for “Ring Around The Rosie”, 40x60. This has children holding hands in a circle around the center rose and more that have fallen down at the top and bottom of the quilt. This has been designed so that the pattern can easily be traced on the background fabric with a water erasable pen.

All you will need to add are some great 30’s fabrics (repros would be fine as well) and your appliqué and embroidery skills. You can also update the pattern with today’s fabrics – this would be darling with a tan background and Thimbleberries type fabrics!

You will receive:

  •   Ten 11x17 sheets to assemble for the quilt back, full size.
  •  Complete rewritten directions for making the quilt
  • A photo of the black and white original that was on the list of the kit box.
  •  A layout diagram for placement.
  • Template sheets for each color used
  •  Color chart with approximate colors used in the original.
  • Quilting patterns for the background and side border (pretty roses are quilted all around.

Farm Children Applique Crib Quilt Pattern $12.00

From an old 1930’s baby kit quilt is an appliqué and embroidery pattern for “Farm Children”.

Made in wonderful prints and solids of the era, this has 4 country boys and 3 girls doing their daily tasks amid alternating blocks of Art Deco Houses. The plain blocks are quilted with a feather rose. Around the outside are half circles and triangles for a border in mint green.

This finishes at 36-64”. This would be wonderful in 30’s repro fabrics, or you can update it with today’s prints. You will need only have a transfer pencil or water erasable pen to trace the patterns to your fabric.

Included are

1.      Patterns with full instructions with a layout of the blocks
2.
Patterns for the border

3.
Patterns for all the children and houses

4.
Color photos of the finished
