StoryTime Quilting

• Photocopies of some quilt blocks and a quilt, in color
• Updated instruction sheet
• All block designs necessary to make the quilt
• All patterns were reduced by half, so they will have to be hand enlarged or taken to a copy shop for enlargement.

Designed after the Indiana state tree, this is one of the more simple patterns I have.  This is not a kit, it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics. 

Originally done in shades of blue, it can be done in any shade you choose (pink was an option). 

You will receive:

• complete rewritten instructions
• materials list,
  
• the original kit photo in black and white,
  
• all pattern appliqué template sets for each color used in the quilt
  
• sample of fabric color chart, mostly on 11x17 sheets. 
  
• Embroidery instructions as given with the original kit. 
  
• Full size patterns for the entire top (quilting and embroidery included). 
  

You need only have a transfer pencil or a water-erasable pen to trace them on your fabric.

From a 1937 quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage Wildflower Wreath Quilt, 81”x94”, for a full sized bed. The original old kits are become scarce and they are costly. This is not a kit – it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the fabrics. The photo that came with this kit was in black and white, so with it will be a color photo of the completed wreath. This was started and set aside almost 70 years ago but still has the bright shades of reds, blues and yellows

You will receive:

•   Photo of the quilt and a color photo of the finished wreath.
•   Pattern template sets for each appliqué color used in the quilt
•   Color chart for approximate colors used in the original
• Full size quilting patterns for the corner and side motifs, a repeat of the flowers that are in the wreath with one pattern for the corners and a separate for the sides and ends.
•    Full size pattern for wreath (this is repeated 12 times for the quilt – turned in different directions) on 2 pages.

The Patterns that contain the quilt top appliqué and the quilting lines from the horizontal center to the bottom, are Reduced 50% to be enlarged by 200%. Reversed, this is the top half of the quilt and provides the entire pattern for the quilt top. Pretty quilting around the wreaths, with diamonds and feathers.

From a 1930’s quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage appliqué Apple Blossom quilt, 96”x80”. The complete and original old kits are becoming quite rate and costly. This is not a kit - it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics. Originally put out by Paragon, this has an oriental look in an allover pattern – lots of stems and flowers. The colors are brown in the branches and four pinks in the flowers and buds with a green inside frame.

•          All appliqué templates sets for each color sued
•         A color chart for approximate fabric colors used in the original
•          Diagrams for the layout of all the pieces, Complete with measurements and all quilting patterns. Mostly done on large 11x17 sheets.
• Complete top pattern (originally stamped on the quilt top) for all of the branches and flower sets and quilting, reduced 50% to be enlarged by 200% and traced on the quilt top with a transfer pencil or water erasable pen.

"Pansy"

From a 1930’s quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage applique and embroidered Pansy quilt for a full-size bed. Originally put out by Ward's, this has a beautiful cluster of pansies in the center and bouquets on all four corners with lovely feathered quilting all around. This quilt finishes at 81" by 100".If you've priced these complete and original old kits lately, you're well aware that they are getting costly. This is not a kit - it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and applique fabrics.

• Scans of the original photo with numerous color closeups of finished quilts
• All 17 pattern  (full size) applique template sets for each color used in the quilt and a color chart with approximate colors as the original, Mostly done on large 11x17" sheets
• Diagrams and measurements for the layout of tall the pieces

Morning Glory

From a 1930s quilt kit is a pattern designed from an appliqué Morning Glory quilt top, 78x90”, for a full-size bed. This is not a kit -  it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics. This has center vines of Morning Glories and flowers in all four corners in the pretty pastel  solids of the 30’s.

• Color photos of a finished quilt with close-ups of various sections
•  Diagrams for the layout of all the sections. 
•   Embroidery instructions
•   Complete patterns for the entire quilt top
•    Full size quilting pattern included

From a 1930’s quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage appliqué Americana quilt, 84x102”, for a full-size bed. This is a reproduction of an authentic Colonial quilt, made in 1930’s pastels, with cottages –animals – wreaths – birds and flowers. It almost has the look of a Baltimore Album Quilt. This appears to be made in blocks, but was actually done in 4 strips, assembled when the appliqué was completed.

This is not a kit- it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete with exception of fabrics. Although the photo that came with the kit was in black and white, I found a finished quilt in color with beautiful shades of roses and small blue flowers.

Poppy

From a 1950’s quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage appliqué and embroidered Poppy quilt for a full size bed. This was originally offered in either red or yellow color-ways for both are included. A lovely poppy wreath fills the entire center of the quilt with embroidered sprays around the flowers. Poppies are quilted in all four corners with a feather quilting pattern all around the border. This is not a kit it is a pattern adapted from one.
