| 1920's Basket & Flowers Applique pattern |
|
| 1920's Basket & Flowers From a very old tattered pattern is a lovely basket of flowers applique and Embroidery quilt pattern - probably from 1915-1920. Put out by the Standard pattern co. of NY, it is so typical of the times in it's simplicity. It has a lovely center basket of flowers, 18"x32", corner bouquets and even a bolster or pillow pattern across the to. This has been completely redrawn full size so that you can place it on fabric with a water erasable pen. This can make any size quilt you'd like, from a twin to a King, because you can place the motifs anywhere you'd like, or even add more for a longer border. With the pattern is new and more complete instruction sheet, layout diagram for the pieces and all patterns needed for the top. These were summer throws that were backed and un-quilted, so a quilting pattern wasn't included - you can add quilted feathers or a simple straight-line quilting pattern if you choose. $10.00

| Pinocchio Applique & Embroidery Pattern $14.00 |
|
| Here I have a photocopy of a vintage
Pinocchio quit pattern. This darling quilt was probably originated sometime
after the character began to show up in children’s books and movies. There are
24 twelve inch blocks in the quilt, set alternately with a print block (the
black and white photo included could have been sharper, but is the only one
available). The characters of Geppetto, the Cricket, the Fairy, Lampwick, the
Fisherman, and Pinocchio from a puppet to a real boy, are all worked in applique
with touches of embroidery.
There are color suggestions in this
patterns.
This could easily be enlarged (using
fewer blocks), have a sashing added, or be stitched in today’s contemporary
fabrics. It would also work well entirely embroider the images in
redwork.
These can be easily be
traced on your block fabric with a water erasable
pen.
